About Me

The first time I played with a Linux distribution was sometime in the late 90s, we still had 56kbps Internet connections through PSTN, cellphones were still an unusual luxury, and operating systems were still shipped on a CD-Rom (yes, with a floppy disk for booting installer :-).

Almost 20 years on, I remember that day as a turning point in my life, a milestone setting the path for at least the first decade of my career. For over 15 years now, I worked as an open source expert, specialised in GNU/Linux, and many other technologies developed by the community, and supported by open source specialists like Red Hat, Canonical, Digium, GitLab, Docker, Puppet, and plenty of other amazingly innovative corporations encouraging free and open source software.

As a matter of fact, I was a freelancer and entrepreneur from 2002 to 2017, I worked onsite or remotely for a broad range of clients of all sizes, in a variety of industries (but mostly in the financial and telecommunications sectors), all over Europe and—occasionally—in North America.
